Boutique hotels & resorts

Your own booking engine. Keep the commission you hand over on every room night.

The big platforms are good at finding you guests. They are expensive at keeping them. Once a guest knows your name, every booking that still goes through an aggregator is margin you gave away — often 15 to 30 percent of the room rate. A direct channel of your own changes that arithmetic.

What it costs you

What renting your distribution really costs

Aggregators are worth paying for discovery. The problem starts when they are also the only way an already-convinced guest can book you.

Commission on guests who already knew you

A guest who searched your resort by name and still booked through a platform costs you a double-digit slice of the rate for nothing.

You do not own the guest

No email address, no history, no way to invite them back next year. The relationship belongs to the platform, not to you.

You compete on price, not on character

In a list of thumbnails, a boutique property with real character looks like every other room at that price point.

What you get

What your property gets

A direct channel that stands on its own, plus the local search presence that feeds it guests without an intermediary.

A booking engine you own

Room types, rates, minimum stays, seasons and inventory — all yours. No per-booking commission, ever.

Deposits and full prepayment

Take card payments from international guests and GCash from domestic ones, with your own cancellation terms attached to each rate.

Pages in your guests' languages

Korean, Chinese, German, French — published as real indexed pages, so you rank in the language your guests actually search in.

A site that sells the place

Full-width photography, honest room descriptions and what is actually around you. The things a thumbnail in a list can never show.

Owning your own name on Google

We make sure that when somebody searches your property by name, your site and your Google profile are what they land on first.

Reviews requested and answered

Post-stay review requests and a written reply to every review. It compounds into ranking and into the rate you can charge.

How foreign travellers actually book

Long-haul guests choose the property months ahead

Your domestic market may book a week out. Your European and American guests do not. They build the whole itinerary before they leave home — flights, islands, transfers, dive days — and they research it on Google and on reviews. If your property is not visible and bookable during that window, the room goes to whoever was.

The shortlist is built abroad

Search engines are travellers' top planning resource. Being the best resort on the beach does not help if the shortlist was made before anyone reached the beach.

Long lead times, firm plans

A two-week trip from Europe is planned around fixed flights. Once the accommodation is locked in, it rarely changes — so you win or lose early.

They search in their own language

A German guest types German. If nothing on your site is in German, you are invisible for those queries no matter how good the property is.

Direct is cheaper for both sides

Without the commission you can offer a better rate, a free transfer or a late checkout, and still keep more of the money than the platform booking would have left you.

How guests find a property like yours

Two kinds of search matter: people who already know your name, and people shopping the destination. You need to win both.

Questions

Questions we get from this industry

Do we have to leave the big booking platforms?

No, and we would not advise it. Keep them for discovery. The goal is to stop paying commission on the guests who already know your name — those are the bookings that should come to you directly.

How do we avoid double-booking a room across channels?

You either keep a fixed allocation for direct bookings, or connect your existing channel manager. We set this up with you during the build.

Is there a commission on direct bookings?

No. You pay your monthly plan and the payment processor's card fee. Nothing per booking, whatever the room rate is.

Can we run seasonal rates and minimum stays?

Yes — seasons, weekend rates, minimum-night rules, and different cancellation terms per rate plan.

Can we sell add-ons like transfers, dive packages or tours?

Yes. Add-ons attach to the booking, which is a straightforward way to lift the value of every stay.

Work out what direct booking is worth to you

Tell us your property and roughly how many room nights you sell through platforms. We will send a written audit of your online presence and a plain estimate of what a direct channel would keep in your pocket.
